NSP-750 Series Description: The MEAN WELL NSP-750 series is a 750W high reliability AC/DC power supply platform with active PFC, designed for demanding environments that need stable power, long service life, and broad safety approvals. Its compact 199 × 105 × 41mm enclosed form factor helps design engineers save valuable space in control cabinets and equipment enclosures. With a wide 85–305Vac input range, the NSP-750 series supports global mains voltages without selector switches, making it a strong choice for OEM products shipped worldwide. Efficiency reaches up to 95%, and no load power consumption is typically under 0.75W–1W (model and input dependent), cutting wasted energy and heat. The series uses a constant-current limiting design with up to 200% peak power capability for as long as 5 seconds on the 12–60V models, which is extremely useful for starting motors, charging capacitive loads, and handling short power surges. It operates over a -40°C to +85°C ambient temperature range, with full load output available up to about +60°C before derating, so it can handle both cold starts and warm control rooms. A built in DC fan with automatic ON/OFF temperature control provides reliable forced-air cooling while keeping typical noise around 45dB. For system integration, the NSP-750 series includes Remote ON/OFF control, Remote Sense, and a DC OK signal so controllers can monitor output status and compensate for voltage drops on the load wiring. It also provides auxiliary outputs (5V AUX and 12V AUX) to power control logic, relays, or monitoring electronics, and the PCB features conformal coating to enhance resistance to dust, humidity, and other harsh environmental factors. The design supports Over Voltage Category III up to 2000m elevation, with operation up to 5000m when used in OVC II applications and derated per the datasheet. The NSP-750 carries a broad set of safety approvals, including IEC/EN/UL 62368-1, IEC 60601-1, IEC/EN 60335-1, IEC/EN 61558-1/-2-16, IEC 61010-1/-2-201, and IEC 62477-1, making it suitable for IT, industrial, household, and measurement equipment. It offers 2 × MOPP insulation between primary and secondary, earth leakage current under 350μA, and is suitable for BF rated medical applications, allowing use in medical devices where patient contact equipment is involved (within the stated input range and conditions).
